A. William Brown is a curator and writer currently working in Cleveland. He is the Assistant Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland. Brown is also a founding curator and Deputy Director of Monument Lab. He has held curatorial positions at the Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design, Kadist Art Foundation, Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts, Crown Point Press, Triple Base Gallery, and the Aspen Art Museum. He earned an MA in Curatorial Practice from California College of the Arts and a BA in Psychology and Art History from Goucher College. Brown is a regular contributor to Daily Serving, Hyperallergic, Studio International, and Art Practical and has written for the RISD Museum, Providence College Galleries, The Exhibitionist, San Francisco Arts Quarterly, Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts, Kadist Art Foundation, The Stolbun Collection LLC, California College of the Arts' Glance Magazine, and Alternative Apparel. His curatorial work includes exhibitions, screenings, events, and performances for the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, RISD Museum, Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts, Penn Institute for Urban Research, Kadist Art Foundation, Oakland Museum of California, Aspen Art Museum, Alter Space Gallery, Triple Base Gallery, and The Luggage Store Gallery.
